Connecting overseas offices by making art together
72andSunny had two offices: Los Angeles and Amsterdam. They wanted to bridge the physical distance between the creative teams, but time differences made it difficult.
With the capabilities of the modern browser, I framed two touchscreen TVs in the reception area of each office. I wanted to let 72andSunny employees, regardless of location, make a collaborative art piece -- one that could continue to grow as one office was asleep.
Work began to evolve on its own -- LA would draw a crossword puzzle, and by the time they returned the next morning, Amsterdam had circled words and added to the puzzle themselves, creating a creative dialogue between the offices.
